I designed a restaurant that occupied the existing open space and atrium of a local hotel. Programming requirements were given for quantity of seating, but the theme and style was designed independently. I chose a Caribbean-themed restaurant and used the concept of a wave to determine wall shapes and ceiling features. The space plan was completed in AutoCAD and then rendered completely in Google Sketchup. Furnishings and finishes were commercial-grade and environmentally responsible. Below is the project summary.
