About Me

I recently graduated of the University of North Texas and am pursuing Interior Design as a second career after 14 years in healthcare supply chain and IT consulting.  I balanced this education along with my responsibilities to my family,  marathon training, and volunteer activities.

During my classes, I developed a passion for green and sustainable design that drove me to pursue LEED Green Associate certification, which I received in January of 2012.  I also recently taught myself Revit and received exceptional reviews for my senior projects using it.  Additionally, I have special interests in 3D rendering and modeling as I have a technology background and found I have a talent for this area.  I also have a significant interest in health care design that stems from my previous work experience, so my final capstone project was designing parts of a rehabilitation hospital.  It was well received, and I was named the Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Interior Design  for 2012.

Last summer, I interned at idGROUP in Dallas, and I look forward to bringing emerging, sustainable design principles into commercial spaces in my new career.
